Description New office and printing factory for the largest newpaper company in Taiwan. The printing facility is located below grade while the office is on the top floors. The complex also includes exhibit spaces, conference rooms and multi-function auditorium at lobby levels. A high-tech image is created to reflect the client's commitment to modern living.

Springfield, Missouri
Description 10,626 sq. ft. Chinese restaurant within a shopping center. It consists of main dining, private dining rooms, banquet hall, and a bar. The exterior design calls for traditional palace style with a Chinese garden in front. A drive through window and a pick-up lobby are also included.

Description The building was Dohacks Restaurant for many years. Uncle Bill's wanted its own identity. Mak Architects, Inc. assisted Uncle Bill's in creating a new image in a simple and economic way. The design featured a new trussed roof on existing structure as well as a new gable-roofed entrance. The interior of the restaurant has been totally renovated.

Description 19 story mixed use tower is comprised of 70 percent offices, 20 percent apartments and 10 percent shopping mall with 4 story underground parking. Typical floor area is 5200 Sq. M. and the gross floor is 120,000 sq. M.

Pekin Insurance Company Addition
Description Second phase addition design for company headquarters complex. Majority of the new spaces are offices and open offices; a centrally located cafeteria and kitchen facilities are also included.



Muddy Waters Restaurant Addition
Description Designed an addition to include new shop areas and an outdoor roof garden. The shop area is to be accessible from both levels, and the roof garden is to serve as an expansion to the existing restaurant and bar. The design solution emphasizes the blending of existing building and to match the architectural character of Laclede's Landing.



Consolidated Linen Service, Inc.
Description The 45,000 S.F. building processes 8 million pounds of linen annually. The facility was designed to process 4 million additional pounds as service is made available to outside clients.
